Environmental policy

1. Summary

Montash Limited are a low impact business. We strive to achieve excellence in every aspect of our business operations and are committed to making choices that are good for the environment, our people, customers, partners and our business.

That is why we have committed to set near and long-term company-wide goals.

In FY22 we conducted a review with EcoAct a Climate Consultancy that takes clients along their NetZero journey. This review allowed us to better understand how to achieve our goals and objectives.

We manage and operate our business in line with our values, high ethical standards, and environmental legislation. . We are committed to providing a safe and healthy work environment for our people, partners and visitors. We are committed to comply with health and safety regulations, legislation and to acknowledge health and safety as a core value.

2. Our commitment

  • Reduce our carbon footprint and emissions.
  • We expect our vendors to demonstrate a commitment to responsible operations.
  • Manage waste generated from our operations through the use of reduce, re-use and recycle programmes.
  • Give sufficient consideration to environmental issues (such as biodiversity) and energy performance in the acquisition, design, refurbishment, location and use of buildings.
  • Continue to encourage and facilitate modes of transport by staff and Members which minimise environmental impact.

  • Minimise the use of plastics throughout the office, for example providing all staff with re-usable bottles.

  • Our offices only utilise 100% renewable electricity.
  • Lighting are motion sensitive and there for will automatically turn off within a certain time period of inactivity to ensure a reduction of energy consumption.
  • Partner with a technology recycle programme to cut back on decommissioning of hardware such as laptops, monitors and keyboards.

  • Responsible waste disposal – office waste goes to an energy-from-waste facility. LondonEnergy then generate electricity from the waste for the national grid – enough to power 80,000 homes/businesses.
  • Recycling goes to Biffa Materials Recycling Facility (MRF) who sort each different material and then send it to reprocess who will recycle it into something new.
